Earth from the Air

French aerial photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand spent ten years making a photographic inventory of the earth's surface. From majestic landscapes to rubbish dumps, the images are shockingly beautiful, but for Yann the most important part is the powerful environmental message which accompanies each image. Yann takes on various photographic assignments, amongst them locations such as Russia and the Lebanon, learning on the way about the ecological issues that drive him.
